Yard cleanup crew

Hi! Does anyone have a recommendation for a good affordable landscape cleanup company? We have battled our Japanese elm weed tree patch for years and it just keeps coming back- even put copper in the trunks and it still didn’t kill them- need them chopped and hauled along with some other bush trimming. Thanks for your help!

Hmm, I don't personally have a recommendation, BUT the CSU extension program is a great resource, and they might have a recommendation for you. https://extension.colostate.edu/topic-areas/yard-garden/

Follow up June Meeting

Hello Garden Folks,

What an amazing turnout we had at our last meeting—it was such a pleasure to gather with all of you! Here are a few highlights from Martina’s presentation:

  • Perennials with a Second Bloom: Look for signs of soft new leaves and light growth. Don’t hesitate to give your plant a gentle trim to encourage more flowering.

  • Drought-Tolerant Plants: Ideal for hard-to-water areas, as demonstrated in Martina’s mostly low-water front yard.

  • Ground Cover for Weed Control: Ground covers like Hens & Chicks and creeping thyme help reduce the need for mulch and are a great way to elevate your garden space.

Allen's Garden Share Follow Up

WOW, talk about a hidden gem! Thank you, Allen, for sharing your amazing setup with us all. There is so much to take in. The top take always is to plant for shade and noise reduction. Arp rosemary grows well and comes back year after year, and garlic scapes in olive oil frozen to use later are AMAZING, there is hope for those of us trying to grow an avocado tree, and you never know what hidden gems are begin the hedges. Thank you, Allen.
